2024:

• Made seven starts, 16 total appearances on the year
• Worked 42.0 innings with a 2-4 record and two saves
• Had five scoreless relief appearances

2023:

• Made 18 pitching appearances, 15 starts as a rookie
• Posted a team-best and conference-best 2.26 ERA on the year
• Struck out 68 and walked just 12
• Threw a complete game shutout against Delaware (4/8/23) - allowed just four hits, no walks, and struck out seven on just 97 pitches
• Had a career-high eight punch-outs twice, against South Florida (3/5) and Hartford (3/26)
• Posted a 9-4 record, the most wins in the CAA in 2023
• Named a Freshman All-American by NCBWA

Before Northeastern: Played four years for St. Mary’s (Lynn, Mass.)… was named Most Valuable Player, and Boston Globe & Boston Herald All-Scholastic Team back to back years… CCL All-Star and Pitcher of the Year… also played short stop and third base… played summer ball for the 2022 FCBL Champion Nashua Silver Knights… Made 10 appearances on the mound, including one playoff appearance… struck out 46 batters in 36 innings… Had a six-inning, 12 strikeout performance against New Britain in the playoffs.
 
Personal: Son of Alex Cabral and Alpha Gonzalez… has one sibling, Avirie… has a second cousin who was drafted to the MLB out of high school… enjoys going to the gym, fishing, video games, and spending time with family and friends… Business Finance/Accounting major.
 
Why Northeastern? “I felt it was the best fit for me both athletically and academically due to its well known excellent reputation in both aspects. Also Northeastern being not too far from my home played a key role in my choice of schools.”
