From Nichols: "Shaina completes our fab-five SoCal class and I'm excited to see how her gifts translate to the college game. We knew her early in the recruiting process and we were thrilled to find out that she was looking at us again as her process wound down. She has developed as a dominant middle blocker under club director and coach Michael Soylular, who's Laguna Volleyball Club is known as a perennial contender for a national title. She is a threat from anywhere along the net and can pummel any set we could ask a middle to swing at. Shaina's lateral quickness and remarkable athleticism affords her a chance to block a lot of balls and will make her a threat to CAA attackers right away. She has a calm demeanor that belies her ferocity as a competitor, and when things get close, you can really see the latter in a visceral way. It's going to be exciting to see what she can do for us on the court."
