Junior Leah Sulyma (Inuvik, Northwest Territories) was named Student-Athlete of the Week on Tuesday after a pair of shutouts over No. 7 Connecticut on Feb. 20-21. Sulyma made 28 stops on Saturday as the Huskies defeated UConn in a shootout after a 0-0 tie. The junior then stopped 32 pucks on Sunday as Northeastern prevailed, 2-0, and clinched the four-seed in the Hockey East playoffs.

Sulyma owns a 6-3-3 record in 12 starts this season and has posted a 1.47 GAA and .955 save percentage. Her goals against average ranks eighth in the nation, while her save percentage ranks second. Sulyma has four shutouts this season and has been nominated as the Hockey East Defensive Player of the Week five times in 2009-10.

The No. 7/8 Huskies will host No. 7/8 Connecticut once again this weekend in the Hockey East Quarterfinals. This will be Northeastern's first home playoff game since 2004 when the Huskies hosted New Hampshire in the Hockey East Semifinals.
