Hartford 3, Northeastern 0

Junior Siv Skard scored the only goal Hartford would need as the Hawks (13-1, 7-1) defeated the Northeastern Huskies 3-0, in women's soccer action Sunday evening.

Skard scored the first goal of the game at 43:40 when she put a rebound into the back of the net. The Huskies (10-5-1, 4-3) mishandled a shot by sophomore Tini Lyng and Skard dribbled around keeper Shellie Parkinson for the score.

Lyng added the second goal of the night from 22 yards out at 49:11. Freshman Jamie Bellonio scored her first career goal at 81:25 from freshman Brigit Canle. Sophomore Katharina Lindner found herself alone in front of the net, but her shot was blocked by a defender. The ball found its way to Canle who passed to Bellonio for the final tally of the evening.

The Hawks outshot the Huskies, 22-5. Hartford also held a 14-2 advantage in corner kicks. Freshman Anne Lise Nilssen recorded four saves in the win while Parkinson posted five in the Husky net.
