BOSTON— Set for an important CAA tilt, the Northeastern women's soccer team travels to face the Towson Tigers on Saturday, Oct. 17 at 3 p.m. The game will be streamed live on FloCollege.
THREE THINGS TO KNOW:
- CAA RECAP: With just three games remaining in the regular season, the Huskies sit third overall in the CAA North division, with the top three teams from each division making playoffs. NU owns 10 conference points and will facing the first-place Tigers who own 12 points in the North Division. The Huskies will be looking to win to gain three crucial CAA points in the standings.
- LAST TIME OUT: Northeastern split last weekend with a win over the defending CAA Champion Elon Phoenix and a loss to Campbell. Senior goalkeeper Eliza Teplow tied a career-high with 11 saves against Elon and then posted five saves against Campbell. Teplow leads all CAA keepers averaging 5.71 saves per game. Her 80 saves rank as the eighth-best mark in the NCAA.
- SCOUTING THE TIGERS: Towson owns a 7-5-2 record overall and 4-2-0 record in conference. NU and Towson have tied in their last two meetings; the Huskies own a 13-8-5 edge in the overall series. Sophie Thibeault leads the Tigers with 15 points and is tied with Kale'a Perry for the team-lead with five goals.
Northeastern will next play its final regular season road game of the season at Stony Brook on Sunday, Oct. 25 at 1 p.m.
