The Huskies lost a run-and-gun game at New Hampshire 94-77 on Tuesday. NU was looking to break a recent skid, but the hometown Wildcats were hot from the outside (hitting 10 three-pointers in the game) and never trailed. The Huskies had beaten UNH five straight times, but the 'Cats proved no remedy for NU's frustration, which has grown with losses in 10 of the team's last 11 games.
In a matchup that didn't feature much defense, Ricky Cranford led the Huskies with a game-high 22 points, while teammates Marcus Blossom (18), Tyrone Hammick (16) and Jean Bain (10) also scored in double figures.
NU fell behind 32-20 in the first half, but the Huskies answered with a 14-2 run to tie the game at 34. UNH outscored NU 16-8 the rest of the half and led 50-42 at intermission. The Wildcats' lead never dipped below seven in the second half.
UNH hit 10-27 from three-point land, but NU connected on just 2-15 from beyond the arc. Marcus Bullock tied a career-high with four three-pointers, in five attempts, and led the Wildcats with 16 points.
