The mens' basketball team was defeated 94-70 by Hofstra on Friday night in Hempstead, N.Y.
Ricky Cranford led the Huskies with 16 points, Marcus Blossom had 15 and George Aygar 14.
Roberto Gittens had a game-high 25 points as the Flying Dutchmen extended their winning streak to six games.
Gittens scored eight points during a 17-4 run that gave Hofstra a 38-26 lead with 1:03 left in the first half.
A jumper by Blossom pulled Northeastern to 49-37 early in the second half. But Apodaca hit a pair of jumpers in a 9-4 run that increased the Pride's lead to 58-39 with 12:42 remaining.
Two free throws by Aygar got Northeastern to 70-59, but the Dutchmen scored the next 11 points, five by Jason Hernandez, to seal the victory.
The Huskies next travel to Philadelphia to take on Drexel on Super Bowl Sunday at 1 p.m.
