Northeastern rallied late in the game, but fell short, and lost to Cornell 13-9 to complete its play in the Homestead Challenge in Homestead, Fla. on March 19. NU finished play in the Challenge with a 2-3 record. The Huskies had four of their runs coming in the eighth inning, but the Big Red's early production was too much to overcome. Newcomer Coley O'Donnell led the Huskies at the plate, going 3-5 with three runs scored. Senior rightyJohn Burns took the loss for Northeastern in 2-2/3 innings of work, giving up 11 runs on nine hits, while striking out three and walking four. Earlier in the day, the Huskies were blanked by Millersville, 8-0. Brendan Ryan took the loss for NU.
