Four Huskies Named To ABCA/Rawlings All-Northeast Teams

BOSTON -- Four members of the Northeastern University baseball team earned American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/Rawlings All-Regional honors, announced Tuesday morning. Harrison Feinberg and Andrew Wertz were named to the Northeast All-Region First Team, while Matt Brinker and Luc Rising earned Second Team recognition.

Harrison Feinberg earns back-to-back All-Northeast First Team honors after a phenomenal season that saw him lead the Huskies with a .331 batting average, 16 home runs, and 64 RBIs. The senior outfielder posted a .597 slugging percentage and was one of the most dangerous base stealers in the region, successfully swiping 42 bases in 48 attempts. Feinberg appeared in 60 of 61 games for the Huskies and posted a .440 on-base percentage while maintaining perfect 1.000 fielding. His combination of power, speed, and consistency made him one of the most complete players in the conference, and he becomes just the second player in program history to earn back-to-back ABCA/Rawlings All-Region First Team honors.

Andrew Wertz makes the All-Northeast First Team for the first time in his career after an outstanding season in the bullpen for the Huskies. The right-handed reliever posted a 3.46 ERA with six saves across 22 appearances, striking out 43 batters in 41.2 innings while holding opposing hitters to a .227 batting average. Wertz was a versatile weapon for Northeastern, making four starts early in the season before returning to the bullpen to serve as a late-innings option. His ability to pitch in high-leverage situations was crucial throughout the season, particularly during the Huskies' championship run through the CAA Tournament and NCAA Regional - in the former, he appeared in four straight games, all Huskies wins in the CAA tourney, with two saves and a win.

Matt Brinker earns Second Team All-Northeast Region honors in his senior season, posting a .305 batting average with nine home runs and a team-leading 61 RBIs. The designated hitter was one of the most consistent run producers in the CAA, posting a .533 slugging percentage and .416 on-base percentage across 57 games. Brinker was clutch throughout the postseason, including a 423-foot home run in the NCAA Regional against Arkansas. His presence in the middle of the lineup was a stabilizing force for the Huskies all season long.

Luc Rising rounds out the regional honorees with Second Team recognition for his work as one of Northeastern's most dependable starting pitchers. The right-hander finished with a 3.54 ERA and 5-5 record over 16 appearances, including 13 starts. Rising struck out 84 batters in 81.1 innings while holding opponents to a .215 batting average. His ability to pitch deep into games and give the Huskies quality innings was essential throughout the season, particularly during the team's run to the CAA championship.

The Huskies finished the 2026 season with a 39-22 overall record and a 22-8 mark in CAA play. Northeastern captured the CAA championship after winning four straight elimination games in the conference tournament, then won its second NCAA Regional game in as many years, before falling to No. 14 Arkansas in the Lawrence Regional by just one run. The team's 39 wins marked another successful season under head coach Mike Glavine, who has now produced six straight 30-win seasons and four straight 35-win seasons. It was the first back-to-back CAA Tournament Championship in program history.

As members of an All-Region First Team, Feinberg and Wertz are both eligible for ABCA/Rawlings All-American status - All-Americans will be announced on Friday, June 12th.
