Northeastern rolled to a 10-3 win to earn a split of an America East doubleheader against Hartford on Saturday at Friedman Diamond. Hartford won game one 3-2 and took three of the four weekend games.
It was all NU in the series finale as the Huskies scored twice in the first inning and once in the third before piling on five runs in the fourth to chase Hartford starter Drew Nekola. Luke Carlin and Ben Beck both had two-RBI singles in the inning.
Freshman Jordan Thomson looked strong in improving to 3-1 on the season. He went the distance and struck out six, while scattering just six hits.
