The Huskies upped their record to 18-19 with the win and Pace dropped to 9-39.

Jeff Heriot got the rally rolling in the fourth when he led off and beat out a throw by the Pace shortstop for an infield single. The Huskies then went on a tear highlighted by a two-run homer off the bat of Omar Pena and doubles by Arman Sidhu and Chris Emanuele. After the fourth the scoreboard read Huskies 9, Pace 6.

Northeastern added some insurance in the fifth when Emanuele hit a two-run homer into the Huskies' bullpen. Brad Czarnowski scored on the play. Two batters later, Pena was hit by a pitch and left the game.

Jordan Thomson started for NU but pitched only one inning as he was relieved by sophomore Paul Kozlowski in the top of the second. Thomson allowed three runs in the first and Kozlowski allowed three runs in the second to put the Huskies in a quick 6-1 hole. But Koslowski settled down, allowing only two more runs in the game to earn the win.
