Binghamton 2, Northeastern 0

The women's soccer team lost to Binghamton, 2-0, on Saturday in its last regular season game. Binghamton scored two goals in the last 13:33 of the game to win.

The first goal of the game came at 76:27 when freshman defender Katie Kerrigan put in the first goal for the Bearcats. Freshman forward Kim Povill followed that with a goal from 10 yards out at 81:55.

The Huskies could not respond, as Binghamton had eight shots to Northeastern's three in the second half. The Bearcats out-shot the Huskies, 11-8.

The loss puts Northeastern at 11-6-2 overall and 5-3-1 in conference play. NU is ranked fifth in the America East standings going into postseason play.

With Stony Brook's 1-0 win over Maine, Binghamton clinches a share of the regular-season title and the No. 1 seed for the America East Championship. The Bearcats will host the AE semifinals and final next Friday and Sunday.
