The women's soccer team took Old Dominion into double overtime and came away with a 1-1 tie Friday at Parsons Field. Sophomore forward Liza Rebello scored her first goal of the season for the Huskies.
Rebello and sophomore midfielder Sofia Palmquist passed the ball down field and Palmquist crossed to Rebello who shot it past Lauren Tupman in the 27th minute.
The Lady Monarchs tied it up when Shavon Knight picked up a loose ball, beat a Northeastern defender and scored in the upper right corner.
The Huskies outshot ODU 12 to 10 but were unable to score in overtime ending the game knotted at one.
Northeastern is home again Sunday when they take on William & Mary at 1 p.m. at Parsons Field.
