Spike's Hot Dog Eating Contest
Senior forward Ryan Rossiter recorded a double-double to lead Siena to an 84-68 win, handing Northeastern its first loss of the season in men's basketball action on Saturday afternoon at Matthews Arena.
Rossiter tallied 28 points, 15 rebounds, three blocks and three steals for the Saints (1-2), while senior guard Clarence Jackson netted 24 points and sophomore forward O.D. Anosike added 11. Freshman guard Rakeem Brookins dished five assists.

Chaisson Allen led the Huskies (2-1) with 18 points and five assists and was joined in double figures by sophomores
Kauri Black and
Jonathan Lee, who chipped in 10 points each. Freshman guard
Alex Harris notched five steals and sophomore
Alwayne Bigby pulled down six rebounds.
The Saints opened the game on a 7-0 run, capped by Jackson's layup with 15:28 to go in the first half. After Siena built a 13-8 lead, senior forward
Vinny Lima scored five straight points to bring the Huskies within three.
Northeastern crept closer and took its first lead of the game when Allen drained a three to put the Huskies up, 23-22, with 7:45 to go in the first. The Saints responded with a 3-pointer from junior forward Owen Wignot, but Lima knocked down a short-range jumper to tie the game at 25-25.
Sophomore guard
Joel Smith hit a jumper with 3:49 to go to give the Huskies a 32-30 lead, but the Saints closed the first half with a 9-2 run to take a 39-34 lead at the break.
The Huskies never caught up in the second half. The Saints opened the final frame on a 21-6 run to lead by 20 with 11:27 to go. After that point, the Huskies fired back with nine unanswered points, but were unable to pull within single digits for the rest of the game.
The Saints shot 29-of-52 (55.8 percent) from the field and 6-of-11 (54.5 percent) from beyond the arc, while the Huskies were 24-of-58 (41.4 percent) in field goals and 8-of-26 (30.8 percent) on 3-pointers. Siena outrebounded Northeastern by a 37-24 margin.
The Huskies are back in action on Saturday, Nov. 27, visiting Utah State at 9 p.m. (ET) in Logan, Utah.
