The Northeastern women's soccer team fell, 1-0, to tournament host Dartmouth Sunday in its second and final game at the Nike Invitational tournament in Hanover, N.H.
In a closely contested match that was scoreless into the second half, the Huskies were unable to generate significant chances against the Big Green defense.
The contest's lone goal came in the 48th minute on a one-timer from Dartmouth's Peyton Tata, on an assist from Libby Hamlin. The goal was Tata's first of the season.
Sophomore
Michelle Sopko started in net for the Huskies and stopped three shots. Colleen Hogan earned the shutout for Dartmouth, recording two saves.
After a scoreless first half in which the Huskies were outshot 7-6, NU outshot the Big Green 6-4 in the second half, but to no avail. Of the Huskies 12 total shots, only two were on goal.
Sophomore
Greta Samuelsdottir once again keyed the Huskies attack, leading the team with four shots, including one on goal. Junior
Kelly Matthews took the Huskies only other shot on goal, which was her only shot of the match. Junior

Kristen Blake had two shots apiece.
With the loss, the Huskies drop to 3-2 on the season. Dartmouth moves to 1-1 with the win.
Following the tournament, three Huskies received All-Tournament honors. Samuelsdottir, Napoli and Matthews were all honored for their achievements in the tournament.
