The Pride got back on top with the next bucket, when Washington found Imes under the hoop for the layup.
Hofstra built a five-point lead, but the Huskies came back to tie the game at 21-21 with 9:37 to go in the first half after getting three straight baskets on three-pointers from Lee, Harris and sophomore guard
Joel Smith. Washington knocked down a jumper to put the Pride back on top and Hofstra built its lead to 37-31 at the half.
The Pride maintained control in the second half. The Huskies got back within four after Allen hit a pair of free throws with 11:46 to go, but Hofstra added to its lead from there.
The Pride shot well from everywhere on the floor, going 25-of-47 (53.2 percent) from the field, 8-of-14 (57.1 percent) from beyond the arc and 18-of-20 (90 percent) from the free throw line. Northeastern shot 25-of-54 (46.3 percent) from the floor. Hofstra held a 30-25 advantage on the boards.
