The Northeastern men's soccer team returns to Parsons Field on Sunday to host cross-town rival Harvard at 2 p.m. The Huskies are coming off back-to-back double overtime victories against Providence and Marist to begin the 2012 campaign.

Last Time Out
Don Anding's golden goal in the 106th minute propelled NU past Marist on Tuesday night at Tenney Stadium, 1-0 in double overtime. The Huskies outshot the Red Foxes 13-7, and Oliver Blum made three key saves late in the match and assisted on Anding's game-winning tally.

Better Late Than Never
In just two games this season, the Huskies have already matched the program record for overtime victories in a season, which was set in 2009. NU knocked off Providence in the 110th minute in the season opener before downing the Red Foxes in the 106th minute on Tuesday.

As of Friday, NU was one of only two teams in the nation (Charlotte) to have won its first two matches in double overtime.

Home Sweet Home
Parsons Field proved to be a friendly venue to the Huskies in 2011 as NU went a perfect 7-0-0 at home. NU was the only team in the CAA to finish the season with no losses or ties at home. The Huskies continued their winning ways at home last week in Northeastern's win against Providence, and has not lost at Parsons Field since November 6, 2010.

Scouting Harvard
Harvard, coming off a 2-13-3 season in 2011, kicked off 2012 with a road game at UMass on Friday. The Crimson owns a 6-1-0 advantage in the all-time series. Harvard is led by sophomore Ross Friedman and Tim Schmoll, who tallied six and five points last season, respectively.

Blum Provides A Spark
Senior goalkeeper Oliver Blum has been between the pipes for both of NU's wins in 2012. On Tuesday at Marist, Blum entered the game in the second half in relief of Dylan Faber, and made three crucial saves down the stretch. In addition, Blum picked up the first assist of his career at Marist.

NU Picked Fifth In CAA Preseason Poll
The Huskies were chosen to finish fifth in the CAA coaches' preseason poll on Aug. 7. With 61 points, NU was pegged just behind ODU, James Madison, Delaware and William & Mary.

Huskies Earn CAA Preseason Honors
Dante Marini was named to the Preseason All-CAA team on Aug. 21. In addition, Don Anding received All-CAA Honorable Mention for the second straight season.

Newcomers Making Immediate Impact
Four of Northeastern's eight newcomers have already seen playing time in the team's first two games. Simon Cox and Jonathan Eckford have both helped anchor the back line with two starts, apiece, while Devin Devoy has also started both games at forward. In addition, Dylan Faber got the start in goal at Marist on Tuesday, playing the first half.

The Road Ahead
Following Sunday's match with Harvard, Northeastern will begin a three-game road trip, starting on September 9 at Michigan in the first-ever meeting between the two squads. NU will also take on Fairfield (Sept. 15) and William & Mary (Sept. 22) during the road trip.
