NU at Boston College on Nov. 1 to air nationally on NBCSN

When the Northeastern men's ice hockey team takes the ice at No. 4 Boston College on Nov. 1, it will do so in front of a national audience. The Huskies and Eagles will square off on NBCSN at 8 p.m. as part of a two-year contract extension between NBCSN and Hockey East, the league announced Tuesday.

"We are delighted to renew our relationship with NBCSN, whose commitment to showcase both amateur and professional hockey is unparalleled," said Hockey East Commissioner Joe Bertagna. "Hockey East embraces and values this partnership at a time when college hockey is experiencing seismic changes across the country."

"We are pleased to continue our relationship with Hockey East and deliver live coverage of five Hockey East regular season games." said Jon Miller, President, Programming NBC Sports and NBCSN. "With this renewal, Hockey East will continue to provide quality content for NBCSN across the next two college hockey seasons."

Dave Strader and Dave Goucher, will split play-by-play duties for NBCSN's coverage of Hockey East. Ken Hodge will serve as an analyst for all Hockey East games on NBCSN.

NBCSN will televise more than 25 college hockey games this season. A complete list of the 2013-14 NBCSN college hockey schedule is forthcoming.

The Huskies will open the 2013-14 season with a pair of games at home against Alabama-Huntsville, beginning on Friday (7 p.m.) at Matthews Arena.

Season and individual game tickets for men's ice hockey are currently on sale. Starting at just $10, fans can secure a great seat to see the NU men's team take the ice for any of its 14 regular season home games. The Huskies have nine home tilts against Hockey East foes, including two against squads from last year's NCAA tournament field.
