BOSTON – Winners of three straight games, the Northeastern women's hockey team (6-6-3, 5-4-0 WHEA) will look to stay hot on Saturday when it welcomes No. 7 Harvard (2-1-2, 2-1-1 ECAC) to Matthews Arena for a 2 p.m. contest.

GOALS APLENTY
Northeastern has scored five goals or more in four of its last five games, including a total of 18 during its current three-game winning streak. Last weekend, the Huskies downed Vermont by scores of 7-3 and 5-1 to climb back to the .500 mark (6-6-3) for the first time since mid-October. Sophomore Hayley Scamurra scored her first collegiate hat trick on Saturday against the Catamounts, while freshman Denisa Krizova notched a four-point effort with a goal and three helpers. On Sunday, freshman McKenna Brand scored two first-period goals to help NU earn the weekend sweep.

FRESHMEN HONORED
Both Krizova and Brand were honored by Hockey East on Monday as the Pro Ambitions Co-Rookies of the Week. Brand and Krizova each recorded five points in two games vs. UVM to lead the Huskies to the weekend sweep. Brand posted three goals and two assists, while Krizova registered two goals and three assists. Northeastern has had four different freshmen earn Rookie of the Week accolades this season; in addition to Brand and Krizova, Taytum Clairmont (Sept. 29) and Ainsley MacMillan (Oct. 20) have also been honored.

STRENGTH IN NUMBERS
Northeastern has scored on the power play in four straight games entering Saturday's tilt with Harvard. Over that span, the Huskies went 8-for-14 with the man-advantage (57-percent), compared to just 3-for-39 in 11 prior games. Northeastern has seen its power play rise from the No. 33 ranked unit in the nation (7.8-percent) on Nov. 15, to the No. 13 ranked unit in the country (20.8-percent) on Nov. 23.

SCOUTING HARVARD
The No. 7 ranked team in both national polls, Harvard enters with a 2-1-2 overall record and a 2-1-1 mark in ECAC play. The Crimson topped Rensselaer (4-1) and Union (5-2) to open the year, but have not won since, posting ties against Clarkson (2-2) and Boston University (1-1) and a loss at St. Lawrence (5-4). Junior Miye D'Oench leads the team with eight points (six goals, two assists) in five games; D'Oench's 1.60 points per game ranks sixth nationally. Goaltender Emerance Maschmeyer has started three of the squad's five games and owns a 2.51 GAA and a .904 save percentage.

LAST TIME VS. HARVARD
The Huskies defeated No. 4/5 Harvard in the opening round of the 2014 Women's Beanpot by a score of 4-3 at Conte Forum. Hayley Masters netted the eventual game-winning goal in the second period to put NU ahead 4-1, before the Crimson trimmed the deficit to one in the third period. Chloe Desjardins made 27 saves as Northeastern advanced to its third straight Beanpot Final.

MOVING UP THE RANKS
Senior Chloe Desjardins made a season-high 37 saves on Sunday vs. Vermont to earn her 47th career win. Desjardins needs just one more victory to tie Kelly Dyer for fourth place all-time at Northeastern in career wins. Desjardins is 47-29-7 in her NU career with a 2.39 GAA and a .921 save percentage in 84 career games.
