STORY LINES• Northeastern and Hofstra will meet for the 36th time on Wednesday with the Huskies leading the all-time series by an 18-17 count. NU has won six straight meetings, including an 81-73 decision at Matthews Arena on Feb. 5, 2014. On that day, six Huskies scored in double figures, led by
David Walker and
Reggie Spencer who each posted 15 points.
• Hofstra has not beaten Northeastern at Matthews Arena since a 76-67 decision on Jan. 8, 2011–a span of four games on the Huskies' home court.
• The Huskies are coming off a 52-49 road win over Towson on Jan. 10. Senior
Scott Eatherton led all players with 21 points on a perfect 10-for-10 shooting performance to help Northeastern pick up its fourth straight road win.
• Eatherton's 10-for-10 effort against Towson set a new program record for most field goals made on a perfect shooting day. The previous record was held by Damon Singletary, who went 9-for-9 against Delaware on Jan. 13, 1996. Prior to Eatherton's effort on Saturday, the last Husky to attempt and make at least eight field goals in a game was Matt Janning, who converted all eight shots in a 79-48 win at Drexel on Jan. 9, 2008.
• Eatherton leads all CAA players and ranks 12th in the nation this season with a 60.2 percent shooting clip. The Hershey, Pennsylvania, native is one of only 14 players in the country with a field goal percentage of 60 or better.
• Northeastern earned its sixth true road win (6-3) of the season on Saturday at Towson, which is tied for the second most in the NCAA this season. Only Hofstra has won more games on the road (7-4) than Northeastern in 2014-15.
• Junior
Caleb Donnelly knocked down a 3-pointer on Saturday at Towson to improve his 3-point shooting percentage to 68.4 (13-of-19) on the year. Donnelly has converted at least one 3-pointer in each of his last four games and is 8-for-10 from beyond the arc in four CAA contests.
• Despite averaging 6.2 minutes per game, Donnelly has made the most of his playing time with a team-leading 23.2 points per 40 minutes this season.
• Northeastern is allowing just 61.6 points per game this season, which ranks first in the CAA and 67th in the nation. The Huskies have conceded less than 60 points in seven of 16 games and are 7-0 this year when holding opponents to 59 or fewer points.
• The Huskies lead all CAA teams in free throw shooting this season with a 74.1 percent clip. The figure is also good for the 28th-best FT percentage in the nation this season.
