BOSTON  – Two top-10 teams will battle it out on Tuesday night when No. 4/5 Northeastern travels across town to face No. 8/8 Harvard on ESPN3. The Huskies (11-2-1) have won nine of their last 10 games, while the Crimson (6-1-1) have won six straight. Northeastern is 1-1-0 against ranked opponents this season, having beaten No. 10 Boston University, 7-1, and lost at No. 2 Boston College, 4-2.Â

Kendall Coyne enters Tuesday's game needing two goals to pass Hilary Witt as Northeastern's all-time leading goal scorer. Witt potted 113 career goals between 1996-00, but Coyne is right on her heels with 112 career tallies. With 198 career points, Coyne is also 11 points shy of passing Witt (208 career points) as the program's all-time points leader.

Kendall Coyne passed Jenn Wakefield as the all-time leading goal scorer in Hockey East play. Coyne has scored 72 career goals in 63 WHEA games; Wakefield netted 71 in 73 contests between 2007-12. Coyne is also closing in on the all-time WHEA points record, currently held by BC alumna Kelli Stack (133 points in 84 WHEA games). With two-thirds of the conference schedule remaining, Coyne has 130 career points in 63 WHEA games.

Coyne has posted at least one point in all 13 games she's played this season, and currently leads the NCAA with a scoring average of 2.54 points-per-game (33 points in 13 contests). Krizova ranks sixth in the nation with a 1.92 points-per-game clip, and has piled up 25 points over her current 12-game point streak. Scamurra has tallied at least a point in each of her last 10 games (5-12-17), and ranks 15th nationally with an average of 1.36 points-per-contest.
NU RANKED 4TH FOR FIRST TIME SINCE 2002The Huskies moved up to No. 4 in the USCHO.com National Poll, as announced on Monday. The ranking represents the highest position for NU in the poll since Feb. 25, 2002–the Huskies' final season as a member of the ECAC.
LIGHTINGÂ THEÂ LAMPNortheastern enters Tuesday's game with the No. 3 ranked scoring offense in the nation, averaging 5.00 goals per game. Northeastern has scored five goals or more in nine of its 14 games, and has netted at least seven goals in four contests. A big part of the Huskies' offensive success has been the performance of the NU power play, which ranks fourth nationally at 29.5 percent.

Shelby Herrington posted her first collegiate three-point game in the Huskies' 5-2 win over Vermont on Nov. 21. Herrington scored her seventh goal of the season in the third period, and added two assists, including a helper on
Kasidy Anderson's game-winning goal in the second stanza. After posting no goals and one assist in 32 contests last year, Herrington has chipped in 11 points in her first 14 games this season.

Kasidy Anderson notched her first collegiate two-goal game in Northeastern's 5-2 win over Vermont on Nov. 21. Anderson scored the eventual game-winner late in the second period, and added another goal late in the third to seal the win. With 11 points (5-6-11) in her first 13 games, Anderson ranks third in Hockey East and ninth nationally with a 0.85 points-per-game average.

Denisa Krizova has tallied at least one point in 20 of her last 21 games (11-28-39 during that span). Krizova ended the 2014-15 campaign on an eight-game point streak, and after being held scoreless in the 2015-16 season opener, has tallied points in each of her last 12 games this year. During her current 12-game point streak, Krizova has racked up 25 points on seven goals and 18 assists.Â
DEFENSEÂ INTOÂ OFFENSESenior defenseman
Jordan Krause has been an offensive threat all season for Northeastern with 13 points (two goals, 11 assists) in 13 games. The WHEA Defensive Player of the Week on Sept. 28, Krause has posted points in nine of 13 contests and is tied for second among WHEA defensemen with a 1.00 points-per-game clip.
SOPHOMOREÂ SURGENortheastern's eight-member sophomore class has produced 69 of the team's 183 points so far, good for 38 percent of NU's overall offensive output. With 69 points, the group ranks first nationally among the highest-scoring sophomore classes in the NCAA. Boston College's six-member sophomore class ranks second with 63 points, while Minnesota is third (62) and Wisconsin fourth (60).Â

Brittany Bugalski has been phenomenal over the first two months of the season, posting a 10-2-1 record with a 1.94 GAA and a .924 save percentage. Among all rookie goaltenders, Bugalski's .924 save percentage ranks third nationally behind Union's Melissa Black (.947) and RPI's Lovisa Selander (.929). In addition, Bugalski's .808 winning percentage is good for the fifth-best clip in the NCAA.
ONÂ THEÂ PLUSÂ SIDEJunior defenseman
Heather Mottau has developed into one of the top blueliners in WHEA at both ends of the ice. Mottau has scored four goals in 14 games, which ranks second among WHEA defensemen, and has posted a plus-21 rating, which is good for the third-best mark among league blueliners.Â
SOMETHINGÂ SPECIALNortheastern has been good on both the power play and the penalty kill this season. The Huskies rank fifth in the NCAA with the man-advantage, operating at 29.5 percent on the power play (13-for-44). The Huskies rank 12th in the country on the penalty kill at 86.5 percent, but have been particularly stingy as of late, having killed 23 of their opponents' last 24 power plays (96 percent) over the last eight games.
