BOSTON – For the second time in eight days, the No. 4 Northeastern women's hockey team (11-3-1, 7-1-0 WHEA) will face crosstown rival No. 2 Boston College (16-0-0, 10-0-0 WHEA)  as the teams collide Saturday at Matthews Arena at 2 p.m.

WE MEET AGAIN
The squads first met on Nov. 20 at Conte Forum in a tightly-contested 4-2 BC win. Kaliya Johnson broke a 2-2 tie at the 12:43 mark of the third period, and Tori Sullivan added an empty-netter with one second remaining to give BC a two-goal win in a game that was evenly-matched from start to finish. Kendall Coyne and Hayley Scamurra lit the lamp for Northeastern, while Denisa Krizova dished out two assists.

LAST TIME OUT
Harvard netminder Emerance Maschmeyer stopped 31 shots to backstop the No. 8 Crimson to a 3-0 win over No. 4 Northeastern on Tuesday night at Bright-Landry Center. Freshman Brittany Bugalski matched Maschmeyer with 31 saves as well, but the Crimson were able to net one goal in each period, while holding NU off the scoresheet for the first time this season.

COYNE CLOSING IN ON GOAL RECORD
Senior Kendall Coyne enters Saturday's game needing two goals to pass Hilary Witt as Northeastern's all-time leading goal scorer. Witt potted 113 career goals between 1996-00, but Coyne is right on her heels with 112 career tallies. With 198 career points, Coyne is also 11 points shy of passing Witt (208 career points) as the program's all-time points leader.

COYNE SETS NEW WHEA SCORING MARK
With two goals in a 5-2 win over Vermont on Nov. 21, senior Kendall Coyne passed Jenn Wakefield as the all-time leading goal scorer in Hockey East play. Coyne has scored 72 career goals in 63 WHEA games; Wakefield netted 71 in 73 contests between 2007-12. Coyne is also closing in on the all-time WHEA points record, currently held by BC alumna Kelli Stack (133 points in 84 WHEA games). With two-thirds of the conference schedule remaining, Coyne has 130 career points in 63 WHEA games.

NU RANKED 4TH FOR FIRST TIME SINCE 2002
The Huskies moved up to No. 4 in both the USCHO.com and USA Today/USA Hockey national polls, as announced earlier this week. The No. 4 ranking represents the highest position for NU in the polls since February 2002–the Huskies' final season as a member of the ECAC.

SHELBY STEPS UP
Sophomore Shelby Herrington posted her first collegiate three-point game in the Huskies' 5-2 win over Vermont on Nov. 21. Herrington scored her seventh goal of the season in the third period, and added two assists, including a helper on Kasidy Anderson's game-winning goal in the second stanza. After posting no goals and one assist in 32 contests last year, Herrington has chipped in 11 points in her first 15 games this season.

FRESHMAN FIREPOWER
Freshman forward Kasidy Anderson notched her first collegiate two-goal game in Northeastern's 5-2 win over Vermont on Nov. 21. Anderson scored the eventual game-winner late in the second period, and added another goal late in the third to seal the win. With 11 points (5-6-11) in her first 14 games, Anderson is tied for fourth in Hockey East with a 0.79 points-per-game average.

LIGHTING THE LAMP
Northeastern enters Saturday's game with the No. 4 ranked scoring offense in the nation, averaging 4.67 goals per game. Northeastern has scored five goals or more in nine of its 15 games, and has netted at least seven goals in four contests. A big part of the Huskies' offensive success has been the performance of the NU power play, which ranks fifth nationally at 26.5 percent.
