BOSTON – Northeastern men's basketball is back at home at Matthews Arena for a two-game homestand, beginning Thursday night at 8 p.m. against Hofstra. The game will be broadcast live on Comcast SportsNet.  
 
The Huskies and Pride will meet for the first time this season as Northeastern looks to extend an eight-game win streak over Hofstra dating back to the 2011-12 season.
 
The Huskies and Pride are currently a part of a six-way tie for first place in the CAA this season.
                                                                  
Northeastern enters the game with a 12-7 record, 4-2 in CAA play after defeating Delaware in a comeback victory on the road last Saturday.   
 
Hofstra enters the game with a 12-6 overall record, and are also 4-2 in conference action.
 
QUICK HITS
• This is the 96th season of Northeastern men's basketball. NU has an all-time record of 1,167-1,077 (.520) in 2,243 games.
• This will be the 38th meeting between the two teams in program history
• Northeastern holds a 20-17 lead against Hofstra in the series history
• The Huskies are coming off of a comeback 69-60 victory at Delaware on Saturday.
• The Huskies were behind five at the half, and spurred by a 46 point second half, including 17 points by David Walker, completed the comeback victory.
• Six different teams, including the Huskies, are tied for first place in the CAA entering Thursday night
• With the win at Delaware, head coach Bill Coen is now holds the title of most conference victories by a Northeastern coach, passing Jim Calhoun (more on page 5)
• Coen tallied his 150th career win (all at Northeastern) with a 78-77 upset over No. 15/19 Miami on Nov. 27.
• The Huskies are 366-246 (.598) all-time in conference play including a 108-76 (.587) record since joining the CAA in the 2005-06 season.

• Redshirt senior Quincy Ford turned 23 years old this week on Wednesday, Jan. 20

LAST WEEK IN HUSKY BASKETBALL
• Northeastern started the week with a loss to James Madison, 75-63, its first home conference loss of the season
• Northeastern won the tip and scored the first five points in the game, all from Jeremy Miller, but the Dukes responded with a 9-0 run of their own and never looked back
• Northeastern entered halftime behind 15 points, the largest halftime deficit of the season for the Huskies.
• JMU shot 66.7 percent from the field in the first half and finished with a 56.5 field goal percentage. They were 10-of-19 from three-point range.
• Miller led the Huskies with 19 points, a career best for the rookie, along with a team-best six rebounds
• Northeastern bounced back on Saturday with a 69-60 win at Delaware.
• Despite a tough first half of shooting, 10-29, 1-15 from three, Northeastern responded in the second half, draining 8 3FG and erasing a nine-point deficit to comeback with the win
David Walker hit on five treys for the Huskies, his fourth 5+ 3FG game of the season to finish with a game high 24 points. Quincy Ford had 18 and 8 rebounds while Zach Stahl was a point shy of a double-double (9 points, 10 rebounds)
 
IN THE RECORD BOOK
Quincy Ford has improved from 23rd, where he began the season on the Northeastern all-time scoring chart, to 11th place with 1,455 career points.
• Ford has tallied 215 points this season, and with his 18-point day at Delaware, he passed John Williams' 1,443 career points earned from 1984-88.
• Walker began the year in 29th, and with his 337 points this year, has moved into the Top-15 with 1,377 points.
• Walker jumped into 14th place after a seven point night against Delaware (Jan. 7) passing Joel Smith (1,328 - 2009-13)
• The duo also finds themselves on the career 3-point field goals list
• Ford can be found on the career blocks chart where he just moved into fifth place all-time

HUSKIES FROM DEEP
• The Huskies have made 163 field goals from behind the arc in 2015-16. The 163 made 3s ranks third in the CAA and 40th nationally
• The Huskies 3-point shooting percentage, .361, also is in the top of the conference in fourth, and 108th nationally
• Northeastern has hit for at least 10 treys in nine of its 19 games this season
• Nine different Huskies have hit a three this season led by David Walker's 51 and Quincy Ford's 47
• Walker's 51 3FGs ranks third in the CAA and 41st nationally, Ford's 47 rank fourth in the CAA and 62nd nationally
• Northeastern connected on a school record-tying 14 3-pointers against Delaware (Jan. 7) as a school record eight different Huskies connected from deep during the game, one shy of the NCAA record (9).
• The school record has been set twice, both times against UNH, the last coming on Feb. 24, 2005.
• Against Vermont (Dec. 22), Northeastern combined for 13 threes on the day, one shy of the school record

•  Entering Saturday's game with Delaware, Northeastern is ranks 92nd in the RPI, third highest in the CAA this season out of 351 Division-I programs
• William & Mary tops the conference with the 57th best RPI in the nation
• Hofstra enters the contest with an RPI of 94th, just behind the Huskies.
• After defeating previously unbeaten Miami, the Huskies tallied their highest RPI ranking of the season at No. 31 on Dec. 1
 
SEEING DOUBLE-DOUBLE
• Northeastern, as a squad, has registered seven double-doubles on the season.
Quincy Ford leads the way with four double-doubles this season through the first 18 games of the year, a career-high for the redshirt senior
• The four double-doubles rank third in the CAA and 122nd in the nation.
• Leading the CAA is Marvin King-Davis of Delaware with nine on the year.
• Ford had two double-doubles in his freshman (2011-12) and sophomore (2012-13) campaigns
• The four double-doubles are the most since Scott Eatherton had five last season
Jeremy Miller, Zach Stahl, and David Walker also have a double-double on the year.
• Stahl registered his on Nov. 20 vs. FAU with a career-high 20 points and 11 rebounds.
• Walker earned his first career double-double at Elon on Dec. 31 notching 26 points and a career-best 12 rebounds
• Miller became the fourth Husky with a double-double against Delaware (Jan. 7) when he achieved the feat for the first time in his career behind 15 points and 11 boards.
 
TAKING ADVANTAGE OF CHARITY
• Northeastern senior David Walker ranks 2nd in the CAA for his free throw shooting percentage thus far in 2015-16
• Walker is 84-99 on the season from the free-throw line, with an 84.8 FT percentage which is second in the conference and ranks 61st in the country.
• His 84 free throws made rank third in the conference and 63rd in the country
Zach Stahl has been consistent at the charity stripe for Northeastern this year and is 44-53 on the year for a 83.0 FT%
• The Huskies, as a team, have taken 411 free throws, fourth in the conference and have capitalized on 295 of them (third in the CAA) for a free throw percentage of 71.8%, first in the conference and 87th nationally
• Northeastern has held its opponents to just 284 free throw attempts this year (which, would rank 327th in the nation in free throw attempts as a single team)
 
GET THAT OUTTA HERE
• Using a career-high, five block performance against Stony Brook, Quincy Ford now has 19 blocks on the year, sixth in the CAA this season
Zach Stahl has notched 12 on the season, which ranks 14th in the conference and recorded at least one block in four consecutive games (Nov. 20-27)
• Rookies Jeremy Miller and Anthony Green also are in the top of the pack. Miller has 14 blocks on the season, which ranks 12th in the CAA while Green has tallied eight blocks on the season, and was the team leader prior to Ford's career day.

Bill Coen is currently the third-winningest coach in Northeastern history with 157 career wins (Jim Calhoun, 250 wins in 14 seasons; Dick Dukeshire, 204 wins in 13 seasons)
• Coen, who tallied his 150th career win in style with a buzzer beating victory over No. 15 Miami, is also closing
in on another milestone in his coaching career
