InfographicCHARLESTON, S.C. – The Northeastern men's basketball team played in its second overtime game in as many weeks, falling 68-61 to the College of Charleston Thursday night.

Northeastern falls to 12-10 on the season and 4-5 in CAA play while Charleston improved to 13-7 on the year and 5-4 in conference action.

The Huskies had three different scorers in double digits, led by
Jeremy Miller's 17 points and nine rebounds.
T.J. Williams finished with 14 points, four assists and three rebounds while
David Walker had 13 points, four rebounds, three assists and two blocks.
Zach Stahl finished with eight points and a career-high tying 12 rebounds along with six assists.

Charleston was led by Cameron Johnson who had 21 points on the night.

Northeastern jumped out to a fast 5-0 start behind a Miller lay up and 3-pointer, as the freshman went on to score the first eight points of the game.

After Charleston added a couple baskets, and a free throw, Northeastern burst out to a 14-5 lead forcing the Cougars to call their first timeout of the game. Charleston edged back into the game, but the Huskies finished the half outscoring Charleston 20-10 to head into halftime with a comfortable 34-22 lead.

Miller and Williams accounted for 20 of Northeastern's 34 points in the first half as the duo combined to shoot 8-of-8 from the field, 2-of-2 from deep.

In the second half, Northeastern built up its lead to 20 point capped off by a Miller 3-pointer. After Charleston chipped away to make it a 15-point game, Walker silenced the crowd with a three of his own from the corner to make the lead 18 points.

But the College of Charleston erased that lead over the next eight minutes and 50 seconds and took its first lead of the game, 54-53 with 2:44 remaining in the game.

Northeastern tallied its first basket after nearly 10 minutes of scoreless play on a
T.J. Williams layup to regain the lead with 2:18 left in the ball game. After Charleston regained the lead,
Donnell Gresham Jr. notched his first basket of the game, a big 3-pointer, to give the Huskies a two-point lead. Charleston would tie the game 26 seconds later and force overtime.

Neither team would score in the first 2:42 of the overtime period before Charleston raced out to an eight-point advantage, never looking back on its way to a 68-61 win.

The Huskies return home on Saturday when they will try and earn the series sweep from Elon at 7 p.m. at Matthews Arena.
