WENTZVILLE, Mo. – The Northeastern women's hockey team (0-2-0) will make its first-ever trip to Lindenwood (0-2-0) this weekend for a pair of games against the Lady Lions. Both teams are searching for their first wins of the campaign as NU dropped two games to St. Lawrence last weekend, while LU fell twice at No. 2 Minnesota.
NU VISITS THE 'SHOW ME STATE'
Geographically, this will be NU's longest scheduled trip of the season with 1,048 miles separating Boston and Wentzville, Missouri. The trip also represents the furthest distance NU has traveled since playing a pair of games in Vail, Colorado (1,840 miles) during the 2013- 14 campaign.
LAST TIME VS. LINDENWOOD
In the first-ever matchup between Northeastern and Lindenwood, the Lady Lions skated to a 4-2 victory over the Huskies at Matthews Arena on Oct. 10, 2015.
Kendall Coyne and
Shelby Herrington scored for NU, but a hat trick by Shara Jasper and a 38-save performance from Jolene deBruyn helped the visitors claim the win.
ST. LAWRENCE TAKES TWO AT MATTHEWS
The visiting St. Lawrence Saints claimed a weekend sweep over Northeastern with a 5-0 win on Sept. 30 and a 6-5 thriller on Oct. 1 at Matthews Arena. In the first game, Brooke Webster notched a hat trick and Grace Harrison turned away all 25 NU shots for the Saints. Northeastern's offense came alive in game two as junior
Denisa Krizova had three points and classmate
McKenna Brand notched two goals, but again SLU was able to get the victory as Hannah Miller broke a 5-5 tie with 18 seconds left in the third to hand SLU the win.
APPROACHING THE CENTURY MARK
With three points on Oct. 1 against St. Lawrence, junior

Paige Savage (83 points) and
Hayley Scamurra (82 points) are also on pace to reach the century mark this season.
FRESHMAN FIRSTS
All five freshmen on the NU roster saw action against St. Lawrence on Sept. 30-Oct. 1. Forward
