BROOKLINE, Mass. – Second-half heroics by Hannah Rosenblatt and Carina Deandreis helped the Northeastern women's soccer team overcome a 2-0 halftime deficit on Friday night as the Huskies scored three unanswered goals to defeat William & Mary at Parsons Field.

Hannah Rosenblatt fueled Northeastern's comeback vibes, halving the Tribe's lead three minutes into the second half with a header and curling home the equalizer just eighty seconds later. With the match advancing to overtime, Carina Deandreis bulleted a 20-yard volley off the left post for the match-winner as Northeastern (9-5-1, 4-1-0 CAA) remained in a tie for first place in the conference standings.

Kayla Cappuzzo assisted on Rosenblatt's first goal during the 49th minute, while Kerri Zerfoss picked up the assist on Deandreis' match-winner. Together, the Huskies outshot William & Mary (7-6-0, 1-3-0 CAA), 20-9, directing seven shots on goal, all after halftime.

Rachel Moore (20th minute) and Sarah Segan (37th) provided the scoring for the Tribe, while Charlotte Hyland, Elysse Branton, and Haley Kent each received assists.

NU dominated during the final 55 minutes of the match, winning eight of its 10 corners while powering 15 shot attempts. Rosenblatt led the Huskies with five shots, while Hannah Lopiccolo and Valentina Soares Gache each rocketed four shots apiece.

GOAL RECAPS

• William & Mary (20th minute): Receiving the ball five yards out from the right corner of William & Mary's 18-yard box, Rachel Moore crossed over her defender and sent a high strike over the hands of NU goalkeeper, Nathalie Nidetch.
• William & Mary (37th minute): On the receiving end of a long through pass, Sarah Segan ripped a shot from the top of the 18-yard box, sending the ball high and to the left corner.
• Northeastern (49th minute): Controlling the ball in the Huskies' attacking third, Krista Meaglia flipped the field from left to right, sending a cross to Mackenzie Dowd. Immediately, Dowd made one touch forward to Kayla Cappuzzo, who made a one-on-one move before crossing into the six-yard box, where Hannah Rosenblatt headed home the Huskies' first goal.
• Northeastern (50th minute): Eighty seconds following her first goal, Rosenblatt picked off a rolling pass from the Tribe's back row of defenders and lofted a curling shot to the top right corner of the net.
 • Northeastern (100th minute): Kerri Zerfoss lined up to take the Huskies' 10th corner of the match from the right flag with the clock ticking away the final seconds of the first overtime period. Zerfoss's cross was headed out to Carina Deandreis, who struck a volley over the box, off the gloves of the keeper, off the left post, and in to cap off the Huskies' come-from-behind victory.
