HUSKIES APPROACHING SEASON WINS MARKWith 25 wins this season, Northeastern is approaching the single season program record for wins in a year (27) held by both the 1996-97 and 2001-02 squads. This season's win total of 25 is tied with the 1998-99 team for the fifth-most in a season in program history. With one more win, the 2015-16 team would tie the 1987-88 and 1997-98 squads with 26 wins in a year.
GOALS GALOREWith 140 goals in 32 games, Northeastern has posted its sixth-highest scoring season in program history. The NU record for most goals in a season is held by the 1997-98 squad, who lit the lamp 173 times en route to a 26-6-5 overall record. This season's team is averaging 4.38 goals per game (good for the third best mark in the nation), compared to the 4.68 goals-per-game clip posted by the 97-98 squad.
COYNE CLOSING IN ON MORE RECORDSSenior
Kendall Coyne is closing in on two more program records for single-season goals and points. Coyne enters the weekend with 41 goals and 71 points, which both rank second to Vicky Sunohara's 51-goal, 78-point season of 1988-89. Incredibly, Sunohara accomplished the feat in only 25 games in 1988-89 in leading Northeastern to the ECAC championship.
