Results | Day one recap (3-meter)

NEWARK, Del.  – The Northeastern diving team closed out the 2015-16 Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Diving Championships, hosted at the University of Delaware's Rawstrom Natatorium on Sunday, Feb. 21, with three Huskies in the 1-meter finals.
 
Jacquelyn Gover was the top scorer for the Huskies, finishing with 251.30 points in fourth place. Caroline Gonsalves earned sixth place with an even 247 points, followed by Alyssa Seales in seventh with 230.85 points. James Madison's Olivia Lehman won the event with 290.45 points.

 This year's Diving Championship was held separately from the Swimming Championship (Feb. 24-27) but are still counted as one single event. With the three finalists today, combined with Gover and rookie Mackenzie Hagist's 3-meter finale yesterday, Feb. 20, the Red and Black finished in first place e on the women's side with 74 points.

Quarterfinals/Consolations
Gover (247.60), Gonsalves (240.20) and Seales (236.90) notched fifth, sixth and seventh to advance to the finals. Hagist placed eighth in the consolation event with 201.05 points – her quarterfinal score was 191.45, good for 16th place.

The Huskies' swim team heads to the CAA Swimming Championships Wednesday, Feb. 24 to Saturday, Feb. 27, hosted at SwimRVA in Richmond, Virginia.
