Day 3 RICHMOND. Va. – The Northeastern women's swim team placed fifth at the 2015-16 Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Swimming Championships after four days of competition at SwimRVA in Richmond, Virginia. It's the fourth time the Huskies cracked a top-five finish since joining the league in 2005-06.
Throughout the four-day competition, the Red and Black
landed on the podium five times with three silver finishes and two bronze. The Huskies also notched five new school records and more than 30 career bests.
"Champs concluded very successfully for the team," said head coach Roy Coates. "We showed marked improvement over last year's meet. I am extremely proud of the entire group."ScoresPlace | School | Points |

NU's top finish of the night came from junior captain
Delaney Lanker, who took home silver in the 200 fly with a new career best of 2:01.38.
Jordan Domeier also competed in the 200 fly and finished seventh with 2:03.80.
For the first time in her collegiate career,
Kierstin Chu advanced to the top-eight finale and finished in eighth with 2:01.28.
In the 100 free,
Sara Touchette-McGowan finished in sixth place (50.82), while rookie
Carly Schnabel tabbed eighth place (52.13).
Taylor Ellis finished the 200 breast in 2:19.01, good for seventh place.
Additional highlights•
Kerry Treusdell finished the 1650 free in 17:14.23 and earned 11th place.
• Christine Leong finished the 200 back in 16th place with a new career best of 2:02.76.
• Tove Bjork earned 16th place in the 200 breast with 2:22.71.
