BOSTON – Four different Huskies scored in double figures, but it wasn't enough as UNCW raced by the Northeastern men's basketball team 90-73 Saturday night at Matthews Arena.

The Huskies drop to 12-13 on the season and 4-8 in conference play, as UNCW improves to 18-5 on the year and becomes the first 10-win team in the CAA this season with a 10-2 conference record.

T.J. Williams was one of the four Huskies who tallied double digit scoring on the night with eight of his points coming from the charity stripe, a career-high for the junior. Williams finished with 12 points and three assists.

The Huskies were led by Zach Stahl, who had 17 points on the night via 7-of-8 shooting and 3-of-3 shooting from the free throw line. In his return to the court, Quincy Ford finished with 15 points going 5-of-11 from the field and had one of Northeastern's two 3-pointers on the night, tying the season low set against Michigan State.

David Walker had the other, and in doing so continued his streak of tallying at least one 3-pointer in every game this season. Walker finished with 12 points and six assists on the night.

UNCW was led by Chris Flemmings who was perfect on the night finishing with 25 points on 11-of-11 shooting from the field, 2-of-2 from the free throw line.  The Seahawks had five different player tally double-digit scoring.

Both teams shot 50 percent from the field, however, UNCW connected on an opponent season best 37 field goals for a season best field goal percentage of 62.7 during the game.

UNCW started the game off 5-of-5 including four 3-pointers to take a 14-6 lead less than five minutes into the game.

But the Huskies chipped away at that lead over the next 10 minutes of play and evened the score at 28-all with 5:05 to play in the first half. Stahl helped

Northeastern used a 7:14 period of play to go on a 19-6 run and earn a 36-30 advantage over UNCW as six different Huskies chipped in during that stretch. C.J. Bryce was fouled off the ball and headed to the line to help UNCW regain the lead 38-37 and after a jumper, took a 3-point lead. Two Williams free throws made it just a one-point deficit for the Huskies at the half.

Northeastern was led 11 first half points by Zach Stahl who helped the Huskies to outscore UNCW 22-10 in the paint during the first half of play.

In the second half, UNCW got on the board first, but Walker's first three of the day, and the Huskies first points from behind the arc, evened the score at 42-all. Following that three, UNCW went on an 11-0 run over a 1:30 span shooting 5-for-5 from the field during that time and forcing Bill Coen to call his first timeout of the half.

Though the Huskies were able to make it a seven-point game after the break, thanks to back-to-back layups by Stahl, Northeastern wouldn't get any closer in the second half as UNCW went on for the 90-73 victory.

Northeastern will return to the road this week when they head to Maryland for a 7 p.m. meeting with Towson on Thursday, February 11 at SECU Arena.
