BOSTON – For the 30th time in program history, the Northeastern men's soccer team will dive into its derby with its crosstown rival, Boston University, as the Huskies prepare to host the Terriers on Tuesday, Oct. 17, at 6 p.m. Tuesday's match will mark the beginning of Senior Week at Parsons Field, leading up to Saturday's Senior Day tilt against James Madison.

ADMISSION & PARKING

Entry to all Northeastern home matches at Parsons Field is free and seating is general admission. Fans should be advised that there is limited first-come, first-serve parking available at Parsons Field. Town of Brookline parking rules are in effect for all street parking located off the facility.

BOSTON DERBY

Northeastern will look to claim its eighth all-time victory against Boston University on Tuesday and first home win in its second try since 2008. NU has been unsuccessful in earning a point against the Terriers during each of the last three series meetings spanning the last four seasons (2013, 2014, 2016). The two programs played to their only draw on Nov. 6, 1996, at Parsons Field. Overall, the Huskies are 4-8-1 when playing BU at home.

HOME VERSUS AWAY

While NU have scored during four of its five home matches (2-3-0) this season, the Terriers have only scored during four of their eight road matches (3-5-0), despite BU having combined to net seven goals during its last four away contests (3-1-0). Six of Jonathan Thuresson's 11 career clean sheets have also come at Parsons Field.

WITH A WIN

Northeastern would collect its third home victory of the season and first during non-conference play since Sept. 9, when the Huskies downed No. 12 UMass Lowell, 2-1, on Martin Nygaard's 108th-minute penalty kick.

CAA TABLE

With two weeks remaining in the 2017 regular season, the Huskies sit in a tie for eighth place in the CAA with Drexel. Northeastern's final two league matches of the year will take place on Oct. 21 at home against James Madison (1 p.m.) and on Oct. 28 at UNCW (7 p.m.).

UP NEXT

Senior Day will take place at Parsons Field on Saturday, Oct. 21, when Northeastern hosts James Madison at 1 p.m. Prior to kickoff, the Huskies will honor the members of their 2017 senior class.
