BOSTON – In a back-and-forth game that saw 12 ties and 12 lead changes, the Northeastern men's basketball team fell to the Hofstra Pride in a 74-64 affair at Matthews Arena.

Northeastern held a 58-56 lead with 6:01 remaining in the second half, but Hofstra came up with an 18-6 run that kept the Huskies from sealing the deal. The Pride's defense held the Huskies scoreless from the 4:39 mark until T.J. Williams' layup with 33 seconds to play.

Williams provided the Huskies with another strong effort, notching 21 points, six rebounds and six assists. The senior guard hit the 20-point mark for the 15th time this season.

Sophomore Anthony Green set a new career-high for blocks in a game, finishing the game with four blocks. He matched is old career-best (three blocks) in the game's first four minutes.

Justin Wright-Foreman carried the load offensively for Hofstra, posting a game-high 25 points. His dunk with 3:09 remaining gave the Pride a jolt of momentum which they carried for the rest of the game en route to the victory. Rokas Gustys paced all rebounders in the game, hauling in 12 boards.

In his return to the lineup, Jeremy Miller scored four points. It was his first time on the floor in CAA play this year.

The Huskies and Pride went back-and-forth in the first half of play with five of those ties and five lead changes occurring in the first 20 minutes, until Hofstra jumped out to a five-point lead with 4:14 left following a Wright-Foreman trey.

Northeastern erased that lead via a 3-point play from Alex Murphy. Murphy followed that shot with a 3-pointer and Miller hit his lone shot of the game on a trey to put the Huskies up by two at the half.

In the second half both teams battled, but after Murphy evened the score at 60-all, Hofstra pulled away on a 10-0 run over the next four minutes, a lead which they would hang on to for the win.

The Huskies return to action back at Matthews Arena on Thursday night when they take on first place UNCW at 7 p.m. on Club Matthews Night.
