Highlights
DEDHAM, Mass. – The Northeastern field hockey team fell behind 0-4 in the first half and were unable to overcome the deficit as they fell to No. 17 Harvard Friday night on a rainy Dedham Field.

Jamie Bartucca and
Camille O'Conor teamed up for a pair of Husky goals to make things interesting with the redshirt senior Bartucca tallying the goals with help from the rookie O'Conor.

Harvard headed into the half with a four-goal advantage, and though Northeastern cut that lead to three in the second half, they were unable to get any closer as the ranked Crimson came away with their third-straight victory on Northeastern's home turf. Â

FIRST HALF
Harvard 1-0: Â Bente van Vlijmen ripped a shot past
Julia Ennis off of a penalty corner from the top of the penalty circle of a shot stopped by Ellie Cookson and inserted by Casey Allen in the third minute of action

Harvard 2-0: Harvard took a 2-0 lead in the sixth minute as Kathleen Young knocked a shot in from the top right of the scoring circle after being set up by Emily Ott

Harvard 3-0: The Crimson went up three goals in just the ninth minute of action as Maddie Earle collected a rebound off of her own shot and tucked it under Ennis and across the goal line from right in front of the goal

Harvard 4-0: Harvard took a four-goal lead thanks to van Vlijmen's second goal of the game as she tapped in a shot from the left side of the goal off of a cross that cut right in front of Ennis by Young

After Harvard's fourth goal of the game, the Huskies switched up their goalies inserting Julia Gluyas into the net

Jamie Bartucca got the Huskies on the board chipping a high shot over the Crimson netminder from the left side off of a beautiful pass from
Camille O'Conor who raced up the right side, crossed the field to the left and sent the pass straightaway to Bartucca for the score

Harvard 5-1: Harvard entered the half with a 5-1 lead as Mimi Tarrant dribbled into the circle and sent a shot in from just inside the top right of the shooting circle

SECOND HALF
Harvard 6-1: Harvard extended its lead to five goals as when van Vlijmen tallied a hat trick using a shot from the top of the circle in the 43
rd minute of action

Northeastern 6-2: Bartucca and O'Conor teamed up, once again, for the Huskies' second goal of the game, this time as O'Conor sent in a pass from the top of the circle to an awaiting Bartucca who chipped a shot in from the left side of the net

Northeastern 6-3: The Huskies cut the Crimson lead to three when, off of a penalty corner,
Laura MacLachlan and Meg Barrett traded passes while getting closer to the net where MacLachlan eventually slammed a shot into the back of the goal

Harvard 7-3: Harvard netted the final goal of the game, with less than 10 minutes to play, to solidify its victory over the Huskies as Tarrant notched her second goal of the game.

The Huskies will return to Dedham Field on Sunday afternoon to wrap up their weekend against Ivy League opponents with a matinee against Brown. The two teams will square off for the first time since the 2008 season at 2 p.m.
