Men's soccer resumes league action at Charleston

BOSTON – Coming off Tuesday's derby win against Boston University, the Northeastern men's soccer team will head south to College of Charleston on Saturday, Oct. 20, when the Huskies resume CAA play against the Cougars. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
 
SERIES HISTORY
 
• Northeastern and College of Charleston have met annually since 2013, when the Cougars first joined the CAA. The Huskies lead the all-time series, 3-2-0, having won three of the last four meetings.
 
• During the programs' 2017 meeting at Parsons Field, Harry Swartz broke the two teams' scoreless tie – 31 seconds into extra time. Lewis Aird delivered the cross that met Swartz's diving header in the box, providing Northeastern with the 1-0 victory and three points during its CAA regular season opener. NU overcame a 14-5 deficit in total attempts to win the match.

• Northeastern can clinch a berth in the 2018 CAA tournament by claiming four points during its final three league matches of the regular season.
 
• NU is 4-2-1 during its last seven regular season matches, during which the Huskies are boasting a +5 goal differential.
 
• Northeastern is coming off its 2-0 victory against Boston University during Tuesday's 31st installment of the Boston Derby. Dan Munch and Dom Galletti provided the Huskies' two goals while freshman goalkeeper Chandler Cree recorded his second career clean sheet.
 
• NU is 5-0-0 this season when scoring first.

Northeastern will return to Parsons Field on Tuesday, Oct. 23, when the Huskies entertain their crosstown foe, Harvard, during a 4 p.m. non-conference match. Tuesday's match will air live on NESNplus.
