WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – In control of its own destiny to clinch the league's final bye to the CAA semifinals, the Northeastern women's soccer team came through with the 1-0 victory at William & Mary during Sunday's regular season finale, securing the conference's No. 2 seed and home field during its tournament-opening match.

Olivia Ware scored the match-winning goal for Northeastern (10-8-1, 7-2-0 CAA), which successfully accomplished the program's fifth consecutive 10-win campaign.

Katarina Nilsson's right-to-left cross during the 33rd minute, netting her third goal of the 2018 season.

The Huskies outgained William & Mary (6-10-1, 3-5-1 CAA) in total attempts, 18-13, sporting a 9-5 advantage during the second half.

Nathalie Nidetch made three saves while keeping her seventh clean sheet of the season and the sixth during CAA play.

As the No. 2 seed in the 2018 CAA tournament, Northeastern will host the quarterfinal winner between No. 3 Hofstra and the league's No. 6 seed on Sunday, Oct. 28, at Parsons Field. Kickoff is yet to be determined.
