Kerri Zerfoss as the Huskies posted their fifth straight shutout victory in 2-0 fashion against the Phoenix.

With the win, Northeastern (9-6-1, 6-0-0 CAA) tied its program-record winning streak – six consecutive matches – for the third time (2000, 2003) while extending its program-best, undefeated CAA start (18 points).

Valentina Soares Gache lofted her first touch to the open
Emily Evangelista along the right flank, where Evangelista crossed into Zerfoss for the header goal from eight yards away.

Nathalie Nidetch made three saves en route to keeping her fifth consecutive clean sheet – the 21st of her collegiate career. Nidetch and Northeastern successfully extended their scoreless defensive streak to 496:32 consecutive minutes.
