Highlights
BOSTON – Leading 1-0 entering the third period, Boston University (1-4-1, 1-2-1) tacked on three in the final 20 minutes to knock off the No. 13/14 Northeastern men's hockey team (4-3-1, 1-1-1) on Saturday night at Agganis Arena, 4-1.
Dante Fabbro scored twice for the Terriers, while Chad Krys added three assists and Jake Oettinger made 37 saves.
Matt Filipe scored the lone goal for the Huskies, a power play strike late in regulation to spoil the shutout.
Fabbro gave the hosts a late in the first period when he flew into the attacking zone, took a feed from Patrick Curry and ripped a shot under the glove of goaltender
Cayden Primeau (25 saves) for the 1-0 lead before Fabbro powered home his second of the evening less than a minute into the third period on the power play on a shot from the point.
Bobo Carpenter potted an insurance marker for the Terriers with less than seven minutes to play in regulation in transition for his fourth of the year, and Curry added a shorthanded goal with 2:42 remaining before Filipe fired home his first of the year late.
NU outshot the Terriers 38-29 in the game and went 1-of-6 on the power play, while BU was 1-of-4 on the man advantage and won 27-of-51 draws.
The Huskies will be back home for two games during Homecoming Weekend at Matthews Arena. Northeastern will host Connecticut on Friday night before UMass Lowell comes to town on Saturday. Both games are scheduled for 7 p.m. and tickets are available by visiting
