THREE THINGS TO KNOW:

  1. What happened the last time out?

  • Though Northeastern gained as much as a 12-point lead on Boston University early in the second half, the Terriers never gave up, fighting back in the final minutes to steal a game away from the Huskies 77-74 in the season opener at Matthews Arena on Tuesday night
  • Vasa Pusica led the way for Northeastern with his first 30-point effort of the season, and fourth of his career, finishing with 31 points, and six assists on the night
  • Anthony Green and Bolden Brace added near-double-doubles as Green finished with 10 points and eight boards and Brace put up eight points and a team-leading nine rebounds on the night
  • BU was led by Tyler Scanlon who hit the ultimate game-winning basket, finishing with 16 points and eight rebounds while Jordan Guest added 13 points and Max Mahoney finished with 12 points and six boards

  1. Crossing the century mark

  • With his 31-point effort against Boston University in the season opener, senior Vasa Pusica went over the 1,000-point scoring mark in his five-year career
  • Pusica finished his career at San Diego with 393 points scored in his freshman and sophomore campaigns
  • Last year, his first year competing for the Huskies, Pusica netted 592 points (just outside of the NU Top-10)
