CAMBRIDGE, Mass.
– The Jordan Roland show headed to Harvard where, in his second game with Northeastern men's basketball, the junior went off for 35 points on 7-of-10 shooting from behind the arc to help the Huskies to an 81-71 victory over the Crimson Friday night.

Roland finished the game with a career-high seven 3-pointers, a mark that also ranks in a tie for fourth all-time on the Northeastern single game 3FG list. His 35 points mark his first career 30-point effort and are the most by a Husky since Bolden Brace dropped 40 at Elon on Feb. 23, 2017.

His 35 points also rank in a tie for 17th most all-time in Northeastern history with J.J. Barea (vs. Cornell, Nov. 20, 2004), Reggie Lewis (vs. Oklahoma, March 13, 1986) and Dave Caligaris (at Bentley, Jan. 27, 1977).

In addition to Roland's double-digit scoring, Donnell Gresham added 13 points including a dagger of a three with just over a minute to go to seal the victory for the Huskies. Vasa Pusica added 10 points, including some clutch free throws down the stretch, while Anthony Green once again pulled down eight rebounds and added six points.

Harvard was led by Chris Lewis who had 17 points, including a stretch of seven to keep the Crimson in the game in the second half, four rebounds, three steals and a pair of blocks.

FIRST HALF
After getting behind early in the first half to Harvard, the Huskies went on a 14-0 run over a two minute period highlighted by treys from Pusica, Bolden Brace, and a pair from Roland to take a 25-21 advantage making six-straight shots during the frame. During that time the Huskies forced four Harvard turnovers.

Roland netted eight-straight points for the Huskies down the stretch while Northeastern finished the half shooting 6-for-11 from deep, with all six makes coming in the final six-and-a-half minutes.

After the first 20 minutes of action, the two teams headed to the locker rooms tied at 33-all.

SECOND HALF
Thanks to the sharpshooting of Roland, the Huskies got out to as much as an eight point lead in the second half with just under eight minutes to go in the game. Roland who was 3-of-4 from deep in the first half, added another three treys in the second to help build on the Huskies lead.

But, following that 58-50 lead, Lewis went on a seven-point run to make it a one-point game with six minutes to play.

A steal by Gresham, who pushed it up to Roland once again made it a 3-point game, and following a Harvard basket, Roland drained his seventh three of the night to add to the advantage. A Green slam, then the Gresham three and the game was over.
