STORYLINES FOR THE 40th WOMEN'S BEANPOT: CONSOLATION GAME
• After snapping a four-game skid with a dramatic comeback win at Merrimack on Saturday, the Huskies (14-14-3) will look to chalk up another victory on Tuesday in the Beanpot Consolation Game vs. Harvard (11-13-2) at 4:30 p.m.
• The Huskies are unbeaten in their last three Beanpot games vs. the Crimson (2-0-1), including a 4-1 win in the opening round last season.
• Northeastern finds itself in the Beanpot Consolation Game for only the second time in the last seven tournaments (2015). The Huskies last won a Beanpot Consolation Game in 2005 with a 4-0 victory over BU.
• The Huskies are 6-5-1 all-time in the Consolation Game. NU's seven third-place finishes are tied with Harvard for the fewest in Women's Beanpot history.
• Tuesday's game will be NU's third neutral-site contest of the season. The Huskies are 2-0 in neutral games this season, having beaten No. 1 Wisconsin and Minnesota State in Arlington, Virginia back in November.
LAST TIME OUT
• Northeastern rallied from a 3-0 hole in the second period to score four unanswered goals, including three in the third, in a 4-3 win over Merrimack on Feb. 10.
• Senior
Lauren Kelly scored two power-play goals, including the game-tying strike with 2:55 remaining in the third period. Kelly's eight PPG this season lead all NCAA D-I defenders, and rank second nationally to BC's Daryl Watts (9).
• With her 10th and 11th goals of the season on Saturday,
Lauren Kelly became the first NU defender since Kim Greene in 2002-03 to score at least 10 goals in a season.
• Sophomore
Matti Hartman netted the game-winning goal on Saturday with 2:09 remaining in the third period. Hartman leads the team with three game-winners this season; three of her seven total goals (43 percent) this season have been GWG.
• Freshman netminder
Aerin Frankel came on in relief to post 19 saves on 20 shots in just over 50 minutes of action Saturday. Frankel's .928 save percentage this season ranks fourth among D-I freshmen goaltenders.
• With the win on Saturday, NU earned its 10th WHEA victory of the season. Northeastern is one of only two league teams (BC) to win at least 10 WHEA games in each of the last seven seasons.
• With two games remaining in the WHEA regular season, NU currently sits in fifth place, one point back of UNH for the final postseason home-ice slot.
