BOSTON – Led by 24 points from Vasa Pusica and 16 from Anthony Green, the Northeastern men's basketball team defeated Drexel in a wire-to-wire 75-69 victory Thursday night at Matthews Arena.
 
Pusica had a game-high 17 points at the half to help the Huskies (18-9, 11-4 CAA) to a 10-point halftime advantage while Green finished with a career-best eight baskets. His three second-half slams kept the momentum in the Huskies' favor as the team went on to avenge Drexel's win earlier this season.
 
With Drexel (11-17, 5-10) closing in on the Huskies and getting within three in the final minutes of action, 68-65, Pusica hit a three to put things just out of reach for the Dragons and give the Huskies their fourth-straight win.
 
Drexel was led by Tramaine Isabell who was held to just five points in the first half, but finished with 24 for the Dragons. Isabell committed six turnovers in his 34 minutes of action, helping Shawn Occeus (seven points) to a career-high six steals, the most steals by a Husky since the 2011-12 season.
 
The Huskies quickly got out to a 10-point lead just a few minutes into the first half, before a Drexel 9-0 run made it a one basket game, 21-19, midway through the frame. Drexel got within one before the Huskies raced out on an 8-0 run of their own to build the lead back up to nine capped by a Devon Begley layup with 5:08 to go in the period.
 
The two teams traded baskets, but Pusica hit a deep three with time winding down to send the Huskies to the locker room up 43-33 at the half.
 
The Huskies outrebounded the Dragons 37-30 and pulled down 17 offensive boards, the most of the year and most since the team had 17 offensive boards at UConn last season.
