HEMPSTEAD, N.Y.
– Behind a 42-point effort from Justin Wright-Foreman, including the game-winning three with time expiring, Hofstra pulled off the win over the Northeastern men's basketball team Saturday afternoon at the Mack Sports Complex.

With the score tied at 72-all, Shawn Occeus picked up his fourth block of the game, a career-high for the junior, on a Wright-Foreman shot attempt setting up a potential game-winner for the Huskies. Bolden Brace tried a three and Donnell Gresham came away with the offensive board as Bill Coen called a timeout to set up a potential game-winning play.

Pusica tried the three with time winding down and after the rebound kicked out, Wright-Foreman scooped up the loose ball, took off down the court and banked in the game-winner for the Pride.

With that shot, Wright-Foreman became the 20thCAA player to ever net a 40-point game, while his 42 points were the seventh most ever by a CAA athlete.

On the Northeastern side of things, Bolden Brace led the way for the second-straight game with 17 points and six assists while Shawn Occeus, picking up his first start of the year, finished with 13 points, five board and the four blocks. Vasa Pusica added 11 points and five assists.

FIRST HALF
Northeastern made its first three shots, started off by a Brace layup to jump out to a 7-2 lead, though the Pride were able to answer with five straight to tie it and ultimately a 15-2 run to take a 17-9 advantage with 13:53 remaining in the first.

Jordan Roland ended the stretch with a trey, and Brace followed it up with one of his own one possession later to make it a 19-16 game before Wright-Foreman took off scoring nine of 11 Hofstra points, forcing Coen to call a timeout with 10:11 to go in the first.

Brace and Roland combined to stop the run, and bring the Huskies within four after Roland hit back-to-back treys to make it a 28-24 game with 7:46 left in the first. But a 6-0 run by the Pride gave them a double-digit advantage, 34-24 with just under four minutes to go in the half.

After Hofstra took a 40-32 advantage with just 1.6 seconds left, Brace found Donnell Gresham at half court on the inbounds, and Gresham had plenty of time to get a shot off, where he was fouled by Wright-Foreman. He sank two of the three free throws and the two teams headed to the locker rooms with the Pride ahead 40-34.

SECOND HALF
The Huskies came out firing in the second half, outscoring the Pride 8-4 through the first four minutes of action to bring it within two points, 44-42, after an Green block and Brace finish with 16 minutes left in the frame.

A Roland trey gave the Huskies a 45-44 advantage and their first lead since early in the first half.

After the two teams traded points and buckets for a few minutes, Northeastern combined to make 5-of-6 baskets while using a 7-0 run to gain a 60-54 advantage midway through the half.

It was then that Pusica came alive. After netting just one point in the first half, Pusica rallied off 10 points in a five minute span, including a pair of treys, to help the Huskies build up a 70-61 lead with 5:11 to go.

With a slew of foul calls going in the way of the Pride, Hofstra rallied off eight-straight free throws and took a 72-70 lead with 88 seconds remaining. Green was finally called for a foul and sank both free throws of his one-and-one to even the score at 72-all.

But then Wright-Foreman came up big once again for the Pride with the game-winner.
