BOSTON— The Northeastern women's soccer team welcomes the College of Charleston to the friendly confines of Parsons Field on Sunday, Oct. 20 at 1 p.m. Prior to kickoff, Northeastern will honor the senior class of
Emily Evangelista,
Shannon Simmons,
Olivia Ware,
Kerri Zerfoss and redshirt-senior
Eve Goulet.
THREE THINGS TO KNOW:
- Scouting The Cougars: The College of Charleston enters this match with an 8-7-0 record with five of those wins coming out of conference. Freshman Olivia Freitas leads the Cougars with eight points off three goals and two assists. In goal, Meredith Holton has ten starts for the Cougars, with seven wins and a 1.55 GAA. The Cougars as a whole, have five shutouts on the season.
- Super Seniors: Northeastern women's soccer will be honoring the 2019 senior class consisting of Emily Evangelista, Shannon Simmons, Olivia Ware and Kerri Zerfoss. Additionally, redshirt-senior Eve Goulet will be playing in her final home game for the Huskies. Over the past four years, this group has helped lead Northeastern to 42 victories, including 21 regular season CAA wins, one CAA postseason title and one NCAA tournament appearance.
- Dooley Noted: Freshman forward Nina Dooley was honored as the CAA Rookie of the Week on Oct. 14 after leading the Huskies to a 2-1 win over William & Mary, recording an assist and a goal in the match. Dooley sits in fourth place on Northeastern with seven points off three goals and one assist on the season.
