BOSTON— The No. 3 Northeastern women's hockey team will make the short trip to Providence, R.I. this Friday, Oct. 25 to take on Hockey East opponent Providence at 6 p.m.

THREE THINGS TO KNOW
- Friday With The Friars: The Friars are off to a 2-2-2 start to the season, picking up wins over Bemidji State and Quinnipiac. Providence is coached by Matt Kelly, who enters his second season with the team. Last time out, the Friars tied 2-2 with Penn State at Schneider Arena, with Chloe Gonsalves and Maureen Murphy scoring for Providence. Murphy, a junior from Buffalo, N.Y., leads the Friars with six points through their first six games of the season. Clare Minnerath has been the Providence starter in net, recording 131 saves and posting a .916 save percentage.
- Un-Alina-Ble: For the second week in a row, Alina Mueller was tabbed the Hockey East Player of the Week following stellar performances against Maine and New Hampshire. This marks the fourth time Mueller has been named Player of the Week in her career. Last weekend, the sophomore from Winterthur, Switzerland recorded six points across two games to help lift the Huskies to a 5-0-0 (2-0-0 HEAW) mark. On Friday, Mueller knocked in two goals and dished out two assists in Northeastern's 6-1 win over Maine, before returning to the ice on Sunday to record two assists in the Huskies' home opener against New Hampshire.
- Going Streaking: The Huskies are on a five-game winning streak to start the 2019-20 campaign, going undefeated in their first five contests this season. Northeastern's 5-0-0 (2-0-0 HEAW) start marks the program's best start since the 2001-02, when the Huskies opened the season with a 10-game win streak. So far, the Huskies have taken down Union, Syracuse, Maine and New Hampshire, picking up a shutout and beating four out of five opponents by a margin of at least three points.
