1.
We Meet Again:Â Friday marks the first meeting between Northeastern and Boston University since the semifinal round of the 41st annual Women's Beanpot (Feb. 5, 2019). The Huskies and the Terriers skated to the 3-3 tie at Harvard's Bright-Landry Center before tournament rules called for a shootout that was won by BU, 2-1.
Skylar Fontaine,
Veronika Pettey and
Alina Mueller scored Northeastern's three go-ahead goals, but the Terriers knotted the score for the final time less than three minutes into the third period.
2.Â
Last Time Out:Â Northeastern is coming off its first defeat of the season at Providence, where the Huskies were edged, 1-0, by the Friars (Oct. 25). NU outshot its opponent for the sixth time through six games this season, sporting the 33-20 edge in shots on goal, including the 24-14 mark during the game's final two periods. The result marked Northeastern's first shutout defeat across a stretch of 48 games, dating back to the Huskies' coincidental, 1-0 road loss at Providence that closed the 2017-18 regular season.

Mueller? Mueller?:Â
Alina Mueller leads the ninth best scoring offense in the country (3.83 goals per game), entering Friday's rivalry game as Northeastern's top points earner (4-11-15). Mueller's 11 assists are tied for the fourth most among NCAA Division I skaters this season.
