BOSTON— The Northeastern women's soccer team is back on the road to face off against the James Madison Dukes in Harrisonburg, Va. on Sunday, Oct. 6 at 1 p.m.
THREE THINGS TO KNOW:
- Scouting The Dukes: James Madison enters this match at 3-8-1 overall and 0-1-1 in the CAA, as the Dukes are still looking for their first conference win. Northeastern has won four of the past five meetings between the two teams, and four of the past five matches have been decided by one goal. Ebony Wiseman leads the Dukes with six goals, while Haley Crawford and Claire Meiser each have five assists on the season. Hannah McShea has started in all twelve games for JMU, owning a 2.27 GAA and .625 save percentage.
- Can You Friel It?: Freshman goalkeeper Angeline Friel made a career-high 11 saves in the 2-2 draw with Hofstra. The last Northeastern goalkeeper to make 11 saves was Nathalie Nidetch on Sept. 8, 2017 against TCU.
- Domond In Demand: Prior to her junior season, Chelsea Domond had recorded six goals, three assists and 15 points. During her third year on campus, Domond has tallied five goals, and three assists through the season, to lead the Huskies in points (13) and goals. Domond ranks second in the CAA in shots (43) and shots per game (3.58).
