The pool contains 46 players, and 23 of those players will be selected to the U.S. Women's National Team for the first two games of the 2019-20 Rivalries Series against Canada. The training camp also serves as an opportunity for the best players in the country to prepare for the 2020 IIHF World Championships.
Junior goaltender
Aerin Frankel (Briarcliff Manor, N.Y.) currently ranks tied for first in the country with four shutouts this season. Frankel sits at second in the country with a .964 save percentage and third in the nation with a .828 GAA. She most recently pitched a 31-save shutout against No. 6 Boston College in the 3-0 victory.
Junior defenseman
Skylar Fontaine (East Greenwich, R.I.) has helped the Huskies to five shutouts this season, tied for first among NCAA Division I programs. Fontaine has also put forth a balanced offensive effort for the Huskies, with five goals and five assists through 12 games this season. Fontaine leads the Huskies with a +11 rating.
Hayley Scamurra and
Kendall Coyne-Schofield were both members of the U.S. Women's National Team that captured a fifth consecutive gold medal at the 2019 IIHF World Championships. Scamurra tallied 111 points in 123 games at Northeastern, while also being named WHEA's Best Defensive Forward in 2017.
Coyne-Schofield is a mainstay on team USA and beyond her esteemed college career of which she won the Patty Kazmaier Award and became the all-time leading scorer in Hockey East history, her successes have been plentiful. Coyne-Schofield accomplishments beyond Northeastern include five IIHF Worlds Women's Championships, two Olympic medals and most recently the Bob Allen Women's Player of Year Award.
