BOSTON – With
Alexis Hill,
Kendall Currence and
Anna Boruta finishing their scoring in double figures on Saturday, the Northeastern women's basketball team showcased a strong second half against Yale at Cabot Center, despite playing to the 78-63 defeat.
Hill scored 16 of her career high, 20 points, after halftime, helping Northeastern (0-5) undo some of the damage from the Bulldogs' second quarter spree. The sophomore shot nine-for-11 from the field, rounding out her stat line with three rebounds, two assists, two blocks and two steals.

Currence and Boruta respectively tacked on 12 and 11 points to the Huskies' cause, factoring into Northeastern's underclassmen scoring production that accounted for 56 of the team's 63 points.

The Huskies kept pace with Yale (3-1) during the first quarter, receiving a 3-pointer from Currence during their final possession that reduced the visitors' lead to 21-18. Boruta hit a pair of 3-pointers to bring NU within two points (28-26) with 6:11 remaining in the half, but the Bulldogs closed the second quarter with 17 unanswered points to build the 45-26 lead by the intermission.

Northeastern shot 48 percent from the floor during the second half, sliding as close as 13 points of Yale during the fourth quarter.

Roxy Barahman led all scorers with 29 points in addition to recording six rebounds and four assists. Camilla Emsbo double-doubled for Yale, posting 12 points, 10 rebounds and four blocks.
