Tyson Walker tallied a career-high 20 points and
Greg Eboigbodin added a career-best 12 points to lead Northeastern (3-3) in a 74-62 loss to South Alabama (4-2) in the opening game of the Gulf Coast Showcase at Hertz Arena. The Huskies shot a season-low 44 percent (24-for-55) in the game.
NCAA leading scorer
Jordan Roland failed to reach double figures for the first time in 12 games, tallying nine points on 3-of-13 shooting. He went 1-for-6 from behind the arc.
Myles Franklin added eight points off the bench.
South Alabama had four players in double figures, led by Josh Ajayi's double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Chad Lott finished with 19 points, and Trhae Mitchell had 14 points, 12 coming in the second half. Andre Fox ended the game with 11 points for the Jaguars.
