Lauren Rowe forced overtime with a game-tying goal with four minutes to go, Hofstra was able to come away with the victory over the Northeastern field hockey team utilizing back-to-back penalty corners in the extra frame for the 4-3 victory.

Lauren Rowe tallied her 15
th and 16
th goals of the season for the Huskies, the most ever by a Northeastern freshman in a single season. Both Rowe and
Alli Meehan have each notched double-digit goal totals this season, the first time since 2012 that a pair of Huskies have finished with double-digit goals (Sr. Crystal Poland, 28; Fr. Deirdre Duke, 14).

Camille O'Conor's initial rejection for the score to give the Huskies a 1-0 lead. Just over a minute later, Hofstra evened it up at one-all where it remained heading into halftime.

In the third quarter the Huskies got out to a 2-1 advantage thanks to Rowe's stickwithitness eventually sending in a shot after two initial saves from the Hofstra goalie following a penalty corner.Â

After Hofstra was able to take a 3-2 lead after being awarded a penalty corner for a back stick, Rowe evened the score taking a long pass from senior
Lauren Brewster and turned it into the game-tying goal sending the game to overtime.

The Huskies are back in action next weekend at the CAA Tournament in Newark, Del where Northeastern has locked up the 3-seed and will face No. 2 seed William & Mary next Friday, Nov. 8 at 4 p.m.Â
